Empowering Women Through Fashion and Faith

When I first becoming a christian as a young girl who did not know who she was, and desperately was seeking God; I heard a lot about the ministry and the calling; but the way it was presented to us seemed like it was only for people qualified for Bible School. or from Bible school who can preach on the stage, simply because some of our natural God's giving talents are being overlooked, many do not see them as something that can be used by GOD to touch, and change lives. I felt left out although I was not looking for any position, but did go BIBLE SCHOOL as instructed by my pastors. Started serving alongside with my pastors before moving to the US. When I arrived in US, I wanted to continue serving the same way I used to back home; But It seemed useless because the audience was not the same anymore, the language was new to me. I was bored. I was looking for things to keep myself busy and I found sewing material in my mother in law's house and started sewing by hands, I made three dresses. Four months after my family got me a sewing machine as a Christmas gift.

As the time goes, step by step, day by day with the help of the HOLY SPIRIT through the scriptures MATTHEW 25: 14-30 ( The parable of talents), I begin to understand every being created in image of God possesses something that can be useful for God's glory; no matter how small it seems, do not despite it, God put it in you for a reason, use it for His glory.

By the time I discovered my talent for fashion, I was Exited to share with family in Christ, not every one thought it was a good idea to continue in that direction just because the influence the world has on fashion. But that did not stop me till today. I may not share every activity on Social Media, This Brand more than what we do in the sewing room, more than the clothes we sell online, more than the pictures we share on Social Media; God has touched many lives through this brand more than I could imagined. IT IS BEYOND FASHION.

What I Understood so far is that doing a Ministry or answering a calling is not a movie script that has to be study and put into action on the stage. It is what you have in you. work on what you have received from God, It may not be fashion, but any talent , no matter how insignificant it may seem. Remember The Parable of the talents in Matthew 25:14-30.

The way life is going, it is easy to choose position over calling. Position can change, not calling. If you do not take time to work on what intersection of fashion and faith has become a powerful platform for empowering women. Fashion has the ability to boost confidence and self-expression, while faith can provide strength, guidance, and purpose. When these two elements come together, they create a harmonious blend that can uplift and inspire women in profound ways.
